Attach a BI dashboard to an Event

When configuring an alarm template, a default dashboard can be associated with an alarm.

It is then possible, from an event displayed on the Event Operation and Event Log widget, to be redirected to the associated dashboard.

Go to the Event Log, choose the alarm to add a hyperlink to, and click on the asset in the Object column. Let's take the alarm with code 235 as an example:

Click on the asset model: this opens the Administration > Configuration > Asset Models page, for the model name clicked on the chosen alarm:

Click on Alarm templates and search in the list for the chosen alarm (with code 235):

Click on it (on the Alarm column) to open the editing modal:

Go to the Operations tab:

The Links section proposes 2 options:

  • Create a hyperlink

  • Attach an existing hyperlink

Create a hyperlink

Click on . A New Hyperlink modal appears. Enter:

  • Name

  • Description

  • Hyperlink type: Select the desired target type, for example a BI Application view.

  • Path Parameters: Path parameters define the URL and options for the selected hyperlink type. For BI Application View, search and select the dashboard to use (appKey), and the view to display (viewKey).

  • Query Parameters: Query parameters are used  to transmit the period and object(s) to display. Use the dropdown lists to enter them:

Click on the button, then answer Yes to the question:

Attach an existing hyperlink

Click on . An Attach Hyperlink to Event modal appears:

Choose the hyperlink to use, click on to attach it to the event.

Once a hyperlink has been attached (whether it has just been created or is being reused), returning to the initial BI dashboard, the corresponding event now includes a hyperlink displaying the name of the configured link:

Click on this link will open the configured view for the selected period and asset.

Example of use for an event displayed on the Event Operation

  • Go to the Event Operations application, apply the desired filters and click the button:

  • As described previously, access the alarm templates of the considered asset model, then create a hyperlink to a view of a BI dashboard containing an Event log widget, with the following configuration:

  • Return to the Event operation. After clicking on the chosen event, a link "Event Operation to the event log" (i.e., the name of the hyperlink) is now displayed:

  • Click the hyperlink. The configured dashboard opens to the Event Log view, with filters defined for the appropriate time period and asset:
