Overview
The Related Events page in Bazefield helps users quickly identify and investigate Events that are contextually connected to a selected source event. This feature builds upon standard Event Filtering options by introducing intelligent, user-defined relationships—offering a richer view into event patterns across time, assets, and systems.
Why Use Related Events?
Related Events help answer critical diagnostic questions like:
Is this event isolated? Or is it recurring across other assets or timeframes?
While a one-off alarm might not raise concern, a repetitive or widespread pattern could signal a larger operational or systemic issue.
Key Use Cases:
Event Recurrence: See how frequently the same event has occurred on the same asset—helping identify persistent problems or maintenance needs (first image below)
Fleet or Site-Wide Analysis: Identify if the same event occurred across peer assets or sites during the same timeframe—for instance, detecting if a Grid Loss happened site-wide or was isolated (second image below)
One-Click Escalation: Related Events can be used to escalate multiple alarms into a single Case, Email Notification, or other bulk action—saving time and improving coordination (second image below)
Closely-correlated Events: Identify what other alarms of the same template or type occured within a narrow window of the event in question (third image below)
Event-Specific Definitions: Related Events are customizable per event type. For example, a Grid Loss Event can load with a different related event filter than an Overtemperature event—offering tailored insights by category.

Using Related Events to view how many times this week a Pitch Motor Overtemperature Event has occurred on the same asset

Using related events to see other “peer” assets on the same site which also incurred a “Grid Loss” this week, and then quickly escalating all related events into a single Performance Case for further Investigation
Filter Options for Related Events
The following are available as filter options to define “what” a related event is for a certain event in question.

Finds events whose object is the parent of the source event’s object
Finds events whose object is the child of the parent of the source event’s object
Finds events whose object is a child of the source event’s object
Finds events whose object either is of the selected domain model or has a domain model that descends from the selected domain model
Finds events whose alarm is identical to the source event’s alarm
Finds events whose alarm is from the same template as the source event’s alarm
