Availability Settings
The Availability Settings dialog controls global behavior for the Allocations view. Access it by clicking the Settings button (âš™) in the top-right toolbar.
Preview Mode
Preview mode lets you review the impact of allocation time changes before they are applied. When enabled, any time modification triggers a Preview Conflicting Allocations dialog that compares the original and new timelines side by side.
Setting | Description |
|---|---|
Show preview before applying changes | Toggle On/Off. When On, a preview dialog is shown every time you change an allocation's start or end time (via "Set start time", "Set end time", or drag operations). |
Preview Dialog — Original vs New Timeline
When preview mode is enabled and you change an allocation time, the Preview Conflicting Allocations dialog appears:
The dialog displays:
Gantt Chart — Two horizontal timelines showing:
Original timeline — The current allocation layout before your change
New timeline — How allocations will look after the change is applied
Zoom to changes — Button to focus the chart on the changed region
Filter tabs — All, Original, and New buttons to filter the table below
Allocation table — Lists each affected allocation with:
Timeline — Whether it belongs to Original or New
From / To — Time range
Categories — Category tree (GADS, System, Component levels)
Reason — Explanation of changes (e.g., "A new manual allocation with adjusted end time will override a system allocation to fill a gap")
After reviewing, you can:
Confirm changes — Apply the time change
Discard changes — Cancel and revert
