This article explains how to configure the XYZ Chart widget in the Bazefield BI Manager. For a general overview, see the (BETA) XYZ Chart Widget article.
General Tab
The General tab configures data sources and the three-axis mapping.
App Linked Data Sources
Only Points data sources are supported. The data source table shows Name, Asset Types, Attributes, Points, Calculations, and Time columns. Use Link Data Source to App or Create new Point Data Source for App to add sources.
Output Configuration
Each axis is independently configured in a table row with these columns:
- Type — Always "Point" for standard metric data.
- Data — The metric name (e.g., irradiance, *Active Power*).
- Unit — Unit display mode (e.g., "Settings Based").
- Value Decimals — Number of decimal places to display.
Click the edit icon (✏) to change axis mapping, or the delete icon (🗑) to remove an axis. A minimum of two axes (X and Y) is required; Z is optional for 2D scatter plots.
Advanced Tab
The Advanced tab controls chart dimensions, axis ranges, and color filtering.
- Height — Widget height in pixels (e.g., 400).
- Display legend — Toggle to show/hide the chart legend.
Axis Ranges
Each axis (X, Y, Z) has independent Min and Max fields. Leave set to Auto for dynamic scaling, or enter fixed values to constrain the visible range.
Point Color Filtering
- Enable point color filtering — When enabled, data points are color-coded based on a fourth variable, adding an extra analytical dimension to the scatter plot.
