Inverter Calculated Events

Overview

The Inverter Calculated Events is a Certified Product Event Template for PV Inverters that defines standard process data-based events. This template enables automatic event creation based on operational states and performance conditions, ensuring accurate reliability and availability reporting across your portfolio.  Inverter Calculated Events can be used to streamline compliance reporting, and provide a consistent foundation for outage and derate tracking.

This event template provides a set of standardized calculated events derived from inverter telemetry and operational logic. The purpose is to:

  • Ensure consistent naming and normalization of calculated events across all makes and models of inverters

  • Support cross-site and cross-technology data normalization for compliance reporting

  • Enable automatic event creation based on process data triggers for improved accuracy and efficiency

These events can be used to determine Inverter hours according to IEC standards. In the Americas, these events are used directly in Bazefield’s automatic report generation for NERC GADS (Generating Availability Data System) performance and event reporting for Solar Farms. If OEM specific alarms and states are available, they can be used instead of or in tandem with this template.
