Hosting Model

Bazefield offers several licensing models that correspond to the chosen software delivery method. Bazefield’s presales team helps guide prospective customers toward the most appropriate solution in light of their asset portfolio, cybersecurity requirements, and growth plans:

  • A cloud-hosted solution, whether in Bazefield’s Azure cloud or in the client’s cloud;

  • An on-premises solution installed on the client’s own servers;

  • A hybrid solution with Bazefield installed in the cloud as well as on-premises.

The license for a cloud delivery is included in the annual software-as-a-service (SaaS) fee. This SaaS fee also comprises annual maintenance and support and may cover the cost of hosting as well.

An on-premises delivery typically includes the license as an annual lease. This license lease also covers annual maintenance and support. If the contract is terminated, clients must delete their Bazefield installation. A second license model, where the client makes a one-time purchase of a perpetual license and pays separately for annual maintenance and support, is possible as an alternative. In this scenario, clients fully own their Bazefield installation, yet if they cancel annual maintenance and support then they will no longer receive software updates or assistance from the Bazefield support team.

The license for a hybrid delivery accordingly includes a license for the cloud installation via the SaaS fee, plus the license for the on-premises installation as either an annual lease or purchase.
