Overview
Dashboards are the visual layer of Bazefield BI Manager. They aggregate, visualize, and expose insights from configured Data Sources through reusable widgets and application-level filters. A dashboard is composed of one or more Views that contain the widgets users interact with.
Key Concepts
Feature List:
Customizable Dashboard creation: Enables users to design and configure dashboards tailored to their specific needs. Users can select from various widgets, data sources, and visualization options to display key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. This flexibility allows for real-time monitoring, trend analysis, and decision-making based on relevant data insights.
Use case: "I want to create a wind turbine monitoring dashboard to visualize key KPIs such as wind speed, wind direction, and active power."
Use case: "I want to create a solar farm performance analysis dashboard to display key metrics such as performance ratio, irradiance, and more."
Use case: "I want to monitor battery storage performance by tracking state of charge (SOC), depth of discharge (DOD), charge/discharge cycles, and system temperature."
Dashboard Versionning: Dashboard versioning allows users to track, manage, and revert to previous versions of a dashboard. This feature ensures that any changes or updates to the dashboard's layout, data sources, or widgets are documented, enabling teams to collaborate effectively and maintain consistency. It also provides a way to test new configurations without losing the original setup, ensuring flexibility and control over the dashboard's evolution.
Use Case: "Multiple team members are working on a dashboard, and I need to keep track of who made which changes and when."
Use Case: "I want to experiment with a new layout for a dashboard without losing the current version."
Access Control: Access control allows administrators to define and manage who can view, modify, or administer dashboards and other resources.
Use Case: "I want to assign different access levels to users based on their roles within the organization. For example, analysts should have edit access, while managers should only have view access."
Export/Import: Export/Import functionality allows users to transfer dashboards, data configurations, or reports between different environments or systems using the csv format.
Data source connection: A data source is a configuration point that links external data to a dashboard. A single data source can be used across multiple dashboards, making it efficient when changes need to be made.[see more to this link datasource link]
