1. Manage Labels

Opens the Manage Labels dialog with three tabs for comprehensive label management:

  • Add labels tab — Search and select from existing labels to add to the selected allocations. Use "Select All" or "Clear" for quick selection. The table below shows each affected allocation with its Asset, Start Time, End Time, and current Labels

  • Remove labels tab — Lists labels currently assigned to the selected allocations. Uncheck labels to remove them

  • Create label tab — Create a brand-new label (requires create permission) and immediately assign it

Click "Add label" (green) to apply or "Cancel" to discard.

2. Add Comments

Opens the Add Comment dialog to add the same comment to all selected allocations:

Add Comment dialog with rich text input, formatting toolbar, and affected allocations table showing Asset, Event, Categories, and Time

Add Comment dialog with rich text input, formatting toolbar, and affected allocations table showing Asset, Event, Categories, and Time

The dialog contains:

  • Comment text area — Rich text input with @mentions (to mention users) and #labels (to add labels directly from comments)

  • Formatting toolbar — Icons for attachments, flags, checkboxes, mentions, and formatting

  • Affected allocations table — Shows each allocation's Asset, Event code/name, full Categories hierarchy, Time range, and a 🗑 Remove button to exclude individual allocations

3. Create Case

Creates a new case and attaches all selected allocations' events. Requirement: all selected allocations must have root cause events set. Opens the Edit Case form from Event Operations with fields for case name, description, priority, and assignments.

4. Add to Case

Adds selected allocations' events to an existing case. Same root cause requirement. Opens a search dialog to find and select the target case.

5. Change Category

Bulk-change the allocation category for all selected records. The dialog provides:

  • Toggle switch: "Keep current categories" vs. "Change categories"

  • Category dropdown — Shows only categories valid for the selected allocation type

  • Comment text area — Document the reason for the category change

  • Affected allocations table — Review which allocations will be changed

Restrictions: Cannot change categories on allocations that are system-adjusted, locked, or overridden.

6. Create Manual Event (as Root Cause)

A multi-step workflow that creates a manual event and sets it as the root cause for all selected allocations:

  1. Select an event source — Choose from available manual event sources

  2. Select event template & alarm — Use the Alarm Picker to choose the alarm type

  3. Set time range — Start/End date-time pickers, timezone selection (Client/Site), "Is Still Active" checkbox

  4. Choose save option:
"Save Event Only" — Creates the event without setting as root cause
"Create and Save as Root Cause" — Creates event AND sets it as root cause, then shows category modification panel

  5. Category modification (if root cause) — Toggle "Do Not Update Categories" vs "Update Categories", review current vs. new categories side by side

7. Split by Time Period

Splits selected allocations at a specific date/time boundary:

Split allocations by time period confirmation dialog showing the number of selected allocations and the time period

Split allocations by time period confirmation dialog showing the number of selected allocations and the time period

The dialog confirms: "Are you sure you want to split the N selected allocations in the time period YYYY-MM-DD - YYYY-MM-DD?"

  • Click "Yes" (green) to proceed or "Cancel" (blue) to abort

  • For single-row Split, a more detailed dialog appears with a Date/time picker, "Split by specific time" checkbox, and min/max time validation

Restriction: Time display must be set to Site Time (not UTC) for splitting. Cannot split locked or overridden allocations.

8. Lock Allocations

Locks allocations from further editing. The Lock dialog offers two options:

  • "Split and Lock" — First splits allocations by the current filter time range, then locks all resulting allocations

  • "Lock Only" — Locks without splitting

Requirements: Must be in "All in Query" selection mode, locking must be enabled in settings, time display must be Site Time, and all allocations in query must be selected.

9. Unlock Allocations

Reverses a previous lock operation, allowing allocations to be edited again. Only appears when locked allocations are selected.

10. Export

Exports selected allocations to a file (CSV/Excel). Includes all category information, time ranges, and properties. Respects timezone settings. Only enabled when "Select all in query" is active.

11. Undo

Deletes manually-created allocations with a confirmation warning:

Undo confirmation dialog: 'Are you sure you want to revert this allocation back to original state?' with Cancel and Confirm buttons

Undo confirmation dialog: 'Are you sure you want to revert this allocation back to original state?' with Cancel and Confirm buttons

Click "Confirm" (green) to delete the manual allocation and restore the original state, or "Cancel" to abort. Cannot undo locked allocations.

12. Merge

Merges adjacent allocations for the same asset into a single allocation. Requirements: minimum 2 selected allocations, all must be for the same asset. Cannot merge locked or overridden allocations.

Creating a New Allocation

Click + New Allocation in the toolbar to open the creation dialog:

Create New Allocation dialog with Start/End date pickers, Asset selector, and Categories dropdown

Required fields:

  • Start / End — Define the time period in the asset's registered time zone

  • Asset — Select the target asset

  • Categories — Choose the event category

Preview Mode

When Preview Mode is enabled in Settings, any change to an allocation's time boundaries triggers the Allocation Preview dialog before changes are committed. The preview shows:

  • Original timeline vs New timeline — Side-by-side visual comparison with category colors

  • Show filter — Toggle "Original", "New", or "Both" views

  • "Discard Changes" / "Confirm Changes" buttons
