Description

The Report Comment Widget enables users to add, edit, and delete comments directly within a report for the current reporting period. It provides essential functionality for collaborative reporting and contextual feedback.

Purpose

This widget is designed to enhance communication and documentation within BI reports, allowing stakeholders to annotate performance data, flag anomalies, and share operational insights across Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plants.

• Technical Analysts documenting data anomalies or maintenance notes

Key Features & Use Cases

Feature List

• Add/Edit/Delete Comments: Users can insert contextual notes tied to the current report period (e.g., "Wind turbine #3 underperformed due to icing conditions").

• Labels: Categorize comments by inserting Labels using the “#” symbol, followed by the Label name

• Mentions: Mention users to flag them in the report using the “@” symbol, followed by their username.

• Title Configuration: Set a custom title for the widget to reflect its purpose (e.g., “Operations Notes” or “Compliance Remarks”).

• Solar Plant: An operations manager adds a comment noting inverter downtime during peak sunlight hours, helping correlate dips in energy output.

• Wind Farm: A technician documents a gearbox issue affecting turbine performance, aiding maintenance planning.

• BESS Facility: A compliance officer adds a note about temperature thresholds being exceeded, relevant for safety audits.
