These events are calculated by the Bazefield data engine to detect operational states such as charging, discharging, idle, and charge capacity thresholds based on real-time performance calculations. Calculated events serve as the bridge between raw telemetry and actionable operational insights. They drive NERC GADS reporting categories, feed into downtime analysis, and provide standardized event tracking across heterogeneous power conversion systems technologies. The PCS Calculated Events template defines 5 calculated events for Power Conversion Systems that drive NERC GADS reporting categories including Charging, Discharging, and Idle hours. ### **Template Definition** The *PCS Calculated Events* event template contains standard calculated events for power conversion systems operational state tracking. Details on the Event Codes, Names, Descriptions, Types, and Remarks are below. Required for Bazefield Core Dashboard functionality Optional for common additional data sources ### **Event Definition Table** | Code | Name | Description | Type | Remarks | | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 100000 | EVENT-Charging | System Charging | Info | Bazefield calculation indicating system is charging power | | | 100001 | EVENT-Discharging | System Discharging | Info | Bazefield calculation indicating system is discharging power or performing ancillary services | | | 100002 | EVENT-Discharged | System State of Charge low | Info | Bazefield calculation indicating the system is below user defined state of charge | | | 100003 | EVENT-Charged | System is Fully Charged | Info | Bazefield calculation indicating the system is above user defined state of charge | | | 100004 | EVENT-Idle | System is in standby | Info | Bazefield calculation indicating the system is in idle/standby | |
