Creating and Configuring Widget Containers
After creating your first dashboard or report, you can organize your content using widget containers.
In a dashboard, a widget container is called a view.
In a report, a widget container is called a section.
Although their purpose differs slightly, views and sections are configured in the same way during editing:
A view in a dashboard groups widgets that display data, possibly with user interactions through the app and asset filters.
A section in a report corresponds to one or several pages of that report and is used in the table of content.
Creating a New View or Section
When a new dashboard or report is created, the first widget container is automatically generated and named “New View” (or “New Section”).
To edit it:
Enter the edit mode.
Click the pencil icon next to the view or section name.
This opens the configuration panel where you can:
Rename the view or section.
Add a description to clarify its purpose.
