# Asset Attribute Datasource

A **Asset Attribute datasource** is a type of datasource used to configure and manage asset attributes.

The concept of an *attribute* is explained in detail in [Attributes](/product/docs/attributes).

Let’s now go through each section of the datasource step by step.

#### Attribute Configuration

Click Add Attribute, a pop will open :

You can select an attribute and give it a Data Name. The attribute types available are :

- Strings attributes
- Numerical attributes
- Bollean attributes.

Save & Publish to use this datasource in widgets.
