This page describes how to configure the XY Plot widget.

This widget is intended for use in Dashboard applications and Report applications.

This widget supports the following datasources :

Configuration

Time series Tab

Except for the output configuration (see description below), the general configuration is common to all widgets. Please refer to the overall description on the Widget Configurations article.

Output Configuration

The output configuration allows to:

  • choose the chart type: Scatter, Vertical bar, Horizontal bar

  • define series

  • define bin aggregate

  • Choose the chart type, here “Scatter” by default:

  • Click on for X point configuration:

    • Data: Select the data (point, attribute or calculation) to display

    • Type : Time Series

    • Interval: define the aggregation interval

    • Unit: enter a unit

    • Value Decimals: The number of digits to display after the decimal point

    • Min value: define the minimal value displayed on the chart

    • Max value: define the maximal value displayed on the chart

  • Click on to display the X point in Output configuration:

  • Click on for Y point configuration:

    • Data: Select the data (point, attribute or calculation) to display. Only data from the same data source than the X point defined can be chosen.

    • Type : Time Series

    • Interval: define the aggregation interval

    • Color: color of the serie, for light and dark theme

    • Unit: enter a unit

    • Value Decimals: The number of digits to display after the decimal point

    • Min value: define the minimal value displayed on the chart

    • Max value: define the maximal value displayed on the chart

    • Series Legend: name of the serie

  • Click on to display the Y point in Output configuration:

Several Y points can be configured, only for ‘Scatter” chart type.

Warning : If X point is modified with data from a different data source than the Y point, a warning message is displayed

  • If chart type is ‘Vertical bar’ or ‘Horizontal bar’, configure ‘Bin aggregate’ section:

    • Grouping: select the type of bin grouping (Separated, Overlapping, Stacked)

    • Bin aggregate method: choose aggregation method

    • Bin size: define the bin size

    • Bin min: define the minimal bin displayed on the chart

    • Bin max: define the maximal bin displayed on the chart

  • Click on to save the configuration and display the chart

    • Chart type : Scatter

    • Chart type : Horizontal bar

    • Chart type : Vertical bar

      • Grouping: Separated

      • Grouping: Overlapping

      • Grouping: Stacked

Reference Curves tab

User can choose to display only Reference Curves if the toggle option is activated:

Informations section can be hide by clicking on the “Hide Informations section” title.

XY Axis

In this section, define the X min and max, and the Y min and max:

Reference Curves

  • Click on to open the Reference Curve configuration:

    • Type: reference curve type (Contractual, Measured, Custom, Estimated, Calculated, Pitch Abnormal, Pitch Normal, Yaw normal, Yaw abnormal)

    • Source: reference curve source (AI, Asset Model, Power Curve Application, Manual Upload, Vendor)

    • Category: reference curve category

    • Labels: one or several label(s) can be added

    • Y-axis Unit: define a Y-axis unit

    • X-axis Unit: define a X-axis unit

    • Chart Type: reference curve chart type (Line, Area, Vertical bar)

    • Color: color representing the reference curve serie, for light and dark theme

    • Series name: add a series name on the chart

  • Click on to display the reference curve list:

Advanced tab

Common

  • Maximum number of chart series: This option sets a limit on the maximum number of chart series the widget can display. A value that’s too high may impact performance or even cause the widget to crash. Setting a reasonable maximum helps ensure that end users don’t experience performance issues.

  • Include site name in legends: When enabled, the series names in the legend will display the name of their associated site.

  • Show separate y-axis: when checked, and if more than one Y point is configured, Y axis will display  on each side of the chart

    • separate y-axis not checked

    • separate y-axis checked

Synchronisation

  • Synchronize with Event Log selection: when checked, synchronize data displayed on XY Plot with data selection on Event Log

  • Synchronize with Asset Metric Chart selection: when checked, synchronize data displayed on XY Plot with data selection on Asset Metric Chart

Time series

  • Color points by conditions

Warning : When configuring a point color filter, ensure that the point used for the color filter comes from the same datasource as the points defined in the output configuration section.

When this setting is enabled, users can define point color filters and configure color ranges for each selected point. This allows the chart to visually distinguish data ranges based on defined thresholds.

To set it up, select a data point (from a datasource already defined in the Output Configuration), then configure value ranges using From and To fields. For each range, you can add a description and assign a color.

This option is disabled for ‘Vertical bar’ or ‘Horizontal bar’ chart types
