# Report Comment

This page describes how to use the *Report Comment* widget. The general description of this widget can be found here: [Report Comment Widget Documentation](/product/docs/report-comment-1-1).

This widget does not rely on data sources.

**This widget is intended to be used exclusively within a report.** See [Reports](/product/docs/reports-1) for a description of report applications.

Once added to a *Report* application, this widget requires very little configuration before use. Refer to [Comment a report](/product/docs/comment-a-report-1) for a description of usage.

## Configuration

- Add the widget on a *Report* application (on this example, the report only contains a single KPI widget):

- Once the report configuration is complete, publish the report so that it can be used for generation.
