Users can export and import both data sources and applications directly from the Portal.
This functionality allows for easy backup, sharing, or migration of configurations between environments.
Export
To export an application or a data source:
Go to the main Applications or Data Sources page.
Click the “+” button.
Select Export from the menu.

This action will generate a JSON file containing the configuration of the selected object, whether it is in Draft or Published status.
The file will be automatically downloaded to your computer.
Notes on Exporting Applications
The exported JSON will list all linked data sources, but it will not include their definitions.
During import, the system will expect these data sources to already exist in the environment.
Modifying the names of linked data sources in the JSON file will cause an import error, as the application will no longer be able to find the referenced data sources in the database.
Import
To import an application or a data source:
Click the Import button located in the top-right corner of the page.
Select the JSON file you wish to import.
Imported items can be:
Applications, including dashboards and reports.
Data sources.

Important Notes
Importing legacy dashboards from previous dashboard tools is not supported.
If an item with the same name already exists in the system, the imported version will override it.
