Overview

Bazefield offers three primary installation options—each with flexible variants to align the customer's operational goals, technical requirements, and security standards:

Bazefield SaaS (Cloud)
Customer-Hosted (On-Premises or Cloud)
Hybrid OT/IT (On-Premises or Cloud)

The SaaS and Customer-Hosted models can be deployed as an IT Overlay on top of an existing corporate historian, delivering full Bazefield Portal functionality with minimal OT/IT setup.

For customers with stringent cybersecurity requirements like NERC CIP, Bazefield supports an OT Jump configuration. This setup uses two Bazefield systems: one within the plant-level SCADA environment and another within the IT network, with secure data forwarding between them.

Bazefield SaaS (Cloud)

In the standard Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, Bazefield is hosted and managed by Bazefield in Microsoft Azure. This option provides the fastest time to value and the lowest infrastructure overhead for the customer.

No customer-side hosting or hardware required
Fully managed by Bazefield (including updates and backups)
Ideal for organizations that prioritize simplicity and scalability

Customer-Hosted (On-Premises or Cloud)

Bazefield can also be deployed in the customer’s own data center or cloud environment. This option gives the customer full control over the infrastructure and is often chosen for alignment with internal IT policies or regulatory requirements.

Backend servers are deployed and maintained by the customer or system integrator
Compatible with private cloud, public cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure), or on-premises servers
Greater flexibility over network, security, and integration

Hybrid OT/IT (On-Premises or Cloud)

The Hybrid OT/IT model supports systems where OT servers, like Edge Buffers, are deployed in the field and managed by the customer, while IT servers like the Proxy Node and Web Server are hosted using one of the two options above: Bazefield SaaS or customer on-prem/cloud.
