Generate a Report

After creating your report (Create Report Application), configuring it (Configure a Report), you can now generate it though a dedicated page.

This page can be accessed via 2 ways:

1°) A report generator page is added to the menu for the edition mode of the report (Only available when the report is published)

When adding a PDF Generator page to the menu, the user can define a default asset.

This automatically pre-fills the Generate Report page with that asset when the page is opened.

When the report is added to the menu, the user gains access to a Generator page, where they can select the desired asset and timeframe.

Report without commenting widgets

If the report does not contain any Report Comment widgets (Report Comment), clicking “Generate Report” will create a queued report, initiating the generation process.

Once the generation is complete and the status changes to “Completed”, the user can download the report by clicking the Download button.

Report with commenting widgets

If the report contains Comment widgets, a message will prompt the user to decide whether they want to add comments.

Comments are linked to a specific scope, defined by the selected asset and timeframe.

If the user chooses to edit comments by clicking “Edit comments”  The user will be redirected to a preview page of the report where he can edit the comments:

From the Generator page, an end user can also preview the report data before generating the PDF.

To do this, the user should click the Preview button in the top-right corner.

2°) While being in the BI Manager User clicks on Generate Report

• Preview report: This actions allows the user to preview the report before generating it.

• Generate report PDF: This action will trigger the PDF generation, without redirectnig the user to the generated PDF page.

• Report history: This action displays the list of PDFs whose generation has been requested (whether the PDF file is already available or not).
