# Core Real-Time Data

### Overview

The *Core Real-Time Data* is a Certified Product Point Template for [Meter](/product/docs/meter) which defines the standardized, minimum set of telemetry (e.g. time series points) Bazefield recommends for real-time monitoring of all [Meters](/product/docs/meter). These points ensure consistent data collection, improve interoperability across assets, and enable accurate reporting and analysis across your portfolio.

This point template provides a reliable baseline of real-time data expected from each [Meter](/product/docs/meter) modeled in Bazefield. The purpose is to:

- Ensure consistent naming and normalization of critical telemetry available on all makes and models of [Meters](/product/docs/meter)
- Streamline configuration for SCADA or historian data ingestion
- Support cross-site and cross-technology data normalization

### Template Definition

The [*Core Real-Time Data*](/product/docs/core-real-time-data-meter#overview) point template includes telemetry definitions for standard meter measurements. Meter data is useful at a site level, and is often compared to aggregations of generating asset data. Details on the Point Names, Descriptions, and Types are below.
