This page describes how to configure the Category Bar Chart widget. The general description of this widget can be found here: Category Bar Chart Widget Documentation.

This widget is intended for use in Dashboard applications only.

This widget supports the following datasources:

Configuration

General Tab

The General tab is divided into two sections:

  • App Linked Data Sources: Displays all usable data in the widget.

  • Output configuration: Defines the categories and associated series to represent, and how to display them.

Output Configuration

Define categories and their associated data series:

  • Categories:

    • To add a category, enter its name,

      then press the ENTER key

    • To edit (rename) a category, click on its symbol

    • To remove a category, click on its  symbol

  • Series: to add a serie, click the button, then enter: 

    • Name: the name that will be displayed in the graph legend

    • Color: pick a color for the serie, for light and dark modes

    • Points: for each category, select a data point and a type (Realtime or Aggregated)

Each serie must define a point for all categories. If this is not the case (typically when a category has just been added), a warning will appear in the series list and on each series definition:

  • Grouping: Choose how the bars will be displayed for each category:

    • Separated: image.png

    • Overlapping: image.png

    • Stacked: image.png

Advanced Tab

  • Visualization mode: choose between Bar Chart (default) and Table

  • When Table is selected, Table Display options are available:

    • Sort by Name / Value: The table rows will be sorted by asset name or point value. If Value is chosen, select the point whose value will be used for sorting:

    • Sort order: Ascending / Descending

    • Display percentages: If this option is enabled, an additional percentage (relative to the total displayed) will be shown after each value

Regardless of the display type configured here, the display can be switched from a graph to a table, and vice versa, at any time using :
